Sometimes, I do laundry with Daddy, and Mama.
They are so kind to me.
Sometimes I fuss though.

This morning, I was in the shower. The door bursts open.
Daddy, are you taking a shower?
she said.

-Umm, yes. Do you need to take one?

I think,
she said,
that I'm okay right now. Thank you though.

And closes the door firmly on her way out.

Youth Gone ___

My littlest brother. Now the age I was when I left basketball practice to go see him as a newborn. What a personality. What an intellect. What an imagination. What a fellow. And…what an uncle. Love the bond our daughter has already built and continues to build with him.
