Music recommendations - overview
I love music. And I’m not done with it. I am restless; discontent to just soak up the tunes of high school, I am ever-ready for conversations and dialogues with other humans about good music. I’m not looking for an algorithm. Good conversations and specific recommendations.
I discovered rock and roll at 12, hip hop and post-rock post-college, jazz in my 20s, country in my 30s, classical in my 40s. Here’s some stuff worth giving some listens to:
These are suggestions only. I have no formal training in music education or child development. I simply love music, I love children, and I believe that the right music is integral - sine qua non - for most humans to fully live a rich life. These are suggestions and are intended as a launching point and meant to be built on - in other words, you don’t move on from these, you simply add to these selections, until one day, someday, you have a glorious repertoire of beautiful music spanning genres and feelings to enrich your existence.
