We don’t hate those who hate movies…right?

Yesterday, P.M.: potluck at Kailua was amazing. Am having daydreams about my piled plate, nary a poor entree on it. Wow.

We have an automobile now, from Advantage. Now we can get lost on our own. It will be difficult from the bus system I was used to, a decade-plus ago.

Today, a picnic with old friends at Kapi'olani Park. Leftover casserole, peanut butter Oreos, etc. Their slightly the-elder son sat on our daughter’s lap; she invited him to quote-unquote snuggly-wuggly, and we conversed and walked up and down the nearby stairs, many times.

Later, her squeaky little voice perked up, looking over my shoulder at pictures from the day: "Hey, that's my friend C——-!"

Pro life tip aside: never overthink whether or not you should refer to someone as your friend. When in doubt, just do it.

Our mini and mighty 27-month old is loving the ocean. We frolicked and splashed and avoided little stinging blue jellyfish, while the others chatted and C——- tromped around in his hat and our daughter’s green crocs.

We watched I Love You Man last night, acccompanied by a delicious four-ingredient noodle casserole. Note: this film was not watched by all ages.

By his own admission, my sister’s BF, B, is not a film person. I use "film" as an inclusive umbrella for film, movies, and television. That is unfortunate, as it is a major bonding ritual for our family. He is, however, a major sports fan and fantasy football player. I will be starting a required viewing list for him that I will dose heavily with classic sports films to begin luring him in.

Suggestions?
