to inherit my tennis skills.

If the universe is just, he will ever-so-slightly surpass me in both areas, but that would take magic or miracle or commitment,

because the bar has been set high, with at least one of the two,
give or take one.

First step over the next year: help him identify the distinguishing characteristics that make tennis different from baseball, or football. Those sports can be very challenging to differentiate.

A good yell and fierce expression go a long ways in any sport.

Also, two of the greatest tennis players ever - Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff - ended up marrying each other. I still have photos of both from scrapbook albums filled with newspaper pages I carefully assembled in the 1980s. They’re still married. And have children. I guess I’m not completely immune to caring about celebrity relationships.
