Waterloo Sunset (the Kinks).

I woke up this morning, and realised that I cannot think of a better song in the world than The Kinks singing Waterloo Sunset.

Thing is, it’s classic. It spans a range of emotions as the narrator describes and reminisces the view from his window overlooking the ocean (okay, technically river). The song, in its simultaneous catchiness coupled with complexity, bears an association with the individual below: my Sister the Younger, 16 and 19 years my junior, enveloping the universe in a giant hug and blast of one-of-a-kindness that is hopeful and beautiful, unique and real, melancholy and joyful. They all have a place, and I like to watch beautiful people in beautiful places and think deeply about beautiful things and people.
