The Wrath: Kan I Have One?

Four times a week, I tell my children a story at mealtime that is based on my experiences growing up. I try to base these stories on about 90% reality and 60% alternative truth.

So my recent true-ish story involved a period in my life of deep anguish, in which I was not allowed to get a certain video game system I richly deserved. Very sad ending, and I turned it into a morality tale involving the difference between Need versus Want, and also I wove in a storyline involving Star Trek.

So now, I have a young boy chasing me around, begging over and over:

"Daddy, can I please have a Atari? Can I have an Atari? I NEED an Atari."

No.
I said.
And you can't watch Star Trek either.
